MISSION STATEMENT

The Phoenix is a mythological animal that was detroyed by fire. It rose from its own ashes to live again.

I'm very pleased that the Fan Club will be returning.

It's lousy to make promises you can't keep, so I don't make very many...but I will promise this.....The quarterly newsletter will be of a quality equal with the original (it won't be a duplicate of the Audie Murphy Research Foundation's efforts/newsletter) and the club will be open to ALL fans of Audie L. Murphy.

Main objectives:
1. Educate the public and the younger generation of the sacrifices and accomplishments of all veterans.
2. Preserve the memory of Audie, his military leadership style, and his personal values and ethics.
3. Provide a platform for friends and fans to trade, offer, information, photos, stories, videos, memorabilia...at no cost.

Several people over the past few years have commented on my involvement with Audie Murphy Days and the military. It's never been an effort for me...sort of seemed natural to be involved, plus it's always been a hoot!

"Special Thanks" to the following people for their support, endorsement, encouragement, approval, etc:
*Stan Smith, former President
*Sue Gossett, former Vice-President
*Larryann Willis, Director-Audie Murphy Research Foundation
*Richard L. Rodgers, Webmaster-Audie Murphy Memorial Website
*Beni Penollar, long-time Audie fan from Australia
*Beatrice "Billie" (Bonner) Murphy, Audie's sister
*Nadene (Lokey) Murphy, Audie's sister
